Cemetery Committee

We are changing the regulations regarding the use of artificial flowers as grave decorations throughout the year. Formerly if these decorations were placed on gravesites for Easter, they would be removed 10 days after Easter. Because of the improved quality of these decorations, they will be allowed to stay as long as they are deemed presentable. Formerly, these decorations were not permitted at all between April 15 and November 15. Now they will be permitted during this period as well as throughout the winter months. The use of saddles to hold these decorations which fit over the top of the monument are useful and are highly recommended and thus will not potentially fall victim to the grass cutting equipment.

We hope that this change in regulations will provide you with more freedom to provide the decorations you desire and will assist people coming from out of town from the necessity of coming so frequently to maintain regular flowers. Thank you.
