St. Mary Star of the Sea is a small Catholic Church in Unionville, just west of Hartford, Connecticut. We are a thriving Catholic Community always looking for ways to bring Christ's word out to you. Here you'll find many interesting items related to Catholic life. The weekly bulletins are here, along with the words of many prayers. We now have almost 6 years of weekly bulletins on-line and they are searchable. Just enter a name or a few words in the search box in the lower left of this home page.

Feel free to browse the links to the Our Holy Father's New website at Holy See or the Archdiocese of Hartford. Explore the history of our parish or browse some of the photos in our Parish Photo Gallery.

The new Youth/Teen Ministry Newsletters are available on their Ministry Page

Online Giving is a direct payment program whereby your contribution is debited automatically from your checking, savings, or credit card account into your church's bank account. This is an optional progam and you may opt-in and sign-up here.

The Power of Prayer

Do you have someone that needs extra prayers or perhaps you would like someone to pray for you? Just look for the Intention Box in the church near the statue of our Blessed Mother: to the left of the votive candles and just below the Bible. Simply write your intention on the paper provided and drop it in the box. Each Monday our dedicated Legion of Mary members will empty the box and pray for those intentions enclosed. No intention is too large or too small. See what the power of prayer can do for you!

Message from Father Golas

Welcome to St. Mary Parish, Unionville, Connecticut, website. I hope it is a source of information and guidance in our changing world. Change is inevitable for our lives. Some changes, like the new responses of translation of the Third Edition of the Roman Missal, will take time for us to adopt. Some changes, like the loss of health, employment or a loved one, have a greater impact. Yet as believers in Christ and members of the Church, we trust that the Lord is with us. Jesus came to offer the hope that God cares and loves us and we are not without divine help. Our hope is also that we will one day share a life with God forever.

St. Mary Church is a community of faithful people, filled with God's spirit and sharing God's love with others. I hope our website is helpful and informative and provides a glimpse of a vibrant and committed faith community.
